Revised speed limits in Abu Dhabi from Saturday

The new rules on speed limits on all the roads in the emirate of Abu Dhabi will be enforced from Saturday, according to Colonel Hussain Ahmad Al-Harithi, director of Abu Dhabi Traffic and Patrols Department at Abu Dhabi Police.

The rules were approved in collaboration with the Department of Transport (DoT) and the municipalities of Abu Dhabi city, Western Region and Al Ain, he Al-Harithi noted.

All motorists are urged to observe the new speed limits which will be stated on signboards on all roads in Abu Dhabi, Al-Ain and the Western Region, Al Harithi said the changes are being made after extensive studies on the traffic requirements of the emirate in the next decade to ensure road safety.
