Rise in fatal accidents in RAK this Ramadan

At least four people were killed in road accidents in Ras Al Khaimah in the first week of Ramadan.

According to Captain Salem Mohammed Bourqaiba, Chief of the Traffic Department at the Diddag Police Station, this Ramadan there has been an increase in fatal mishaps, reported 'Khaleej Times'.

A 23-year-old Emirati, Yusuf Abdullah lost his life on Tuesday morning, when he lost control of his vehicle due to speeding and hit a barrier on the Adan Road near Ras Al Khaimah Airport. 

In another incident, a 33-year-old-Arab man died when his vehicle collided with a truck on Al Taween Road.

Reckless driving and overtaking from the wrong side has also contributed to fatal accidents.
