RTA adds new services to Salik app

New services are added to the Salik smart app, offering more benefits and features, announced Roads and Transport Authority (RTA).

Maitha bin Udai, CEO of RTA’s Traffic and Roads Agency, said: “Introducing new services to the Salik smart app is intended to save customers time and effort by enabling them to use their smart gadgets in communicating with call centre of Salik via the app and minimising the need to visit customer service centres.

"The new services added include search, submit and follow-up of objections to Salik offences, registration of Salik card, update of personal details for a new or current mobile phone number, annual trips list, and the recharging of Salik accounts," she added.

"Recording 451,880 users indicates that we are heading in the right direction. The initial bundle of Salik services includes inquiring about account balance, and displaying trips made through Salik toll gates for a specific period per vehicle. It also includes inquiring about offences or vehicles by using the tag number or number plate, listing all vehicles entered in the user’s account, opening a new e-account, topping up the account using e-pay, recharging an account of a friend, and adding a new vehicle to a registered account," explained Maitha.
