RTA buses in head-on crash near Lulu Village

Two passenger buses of the Road Transport Authority (RTA) were involved in a head-on collision near Lulu Village in the Al Muhaisnah 4 area of Dubai on Saturday morning.

While there were no fatalities, several passengers and the bus drivers were injured in the incident.

Bus number X 28 was one of the two buses involved in the accident.

Speaking to Emirates 24|7 an eye-witness said one of the drivers had to be rescued from the bus after cutting open the front end of the bus.

It took about three hours to clear the accident spot and other buses using the route were diverted.

Bus number X-28 leaves Nakheel Station near Media City and goes to Lulu Village.

“Four people were seriously injured while others were treated for minor injuries,” said an RTA source.
