RTA launches Dast portal to spotlight award

The Higher Organising Committee of the Dubai Award for Sustained Transport (Dast) recently launched a webpage posted as a link on the website of the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) to promote Dast online.

The move is part of a new strategy to present the third edition of the award and showcase the e-services offered by the RTA in keeping with the Dubai eGovernment drive.

Dr Khalid Mohammed Al Zahid, Chairperson of Dast Higher Organising Committee, said launching of the portal was intended to facilitate the procedures of registering government and semi-government authorities and departments as well as private companies vying for the first three positions in all categories of the award.

“The sitemap of Dast portal comprises several divisions including a brief introductory, participation conditions, award criteria, award jury, award prizes, sponsorship details, winners of all award categories, application procedures, award categories and sponsor partners,” he said.

Al Zahid said that government and semi-government authorities and departments as well as private companies can submit their applications to Dast 2010 now. The deadline for receiving participations is December 10.
