Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) will offer shuttle service to Global Village during the upcoming Eid Al Adha holidays.
Eisa Abdul Rahman Al Dosari, CEO of Public Transport Agency, said: "During Eid Al Adha holiday, the Agency will open new bus routes for Express Shuttle Buses to lift passengers as part of the plan for traffic management at key locations in support of other mass transport modes namely the Metro, Water Bus and Water Taxi. The Agency will run 23 feeder routes for the metro stations with a total of 108 buses expected to lift around 21,000 passengers during this period.”
The bus route to the Global Village will be activated at the start of the Eid activities as follows: From Ghubaiba Station to the Global Village, and from Etisalat Metro Station to the Global Village will run from 01:00 pm to 01:00 am.
Moreover, The Water Taxi will run day-and-night trips at the Festival City and Marina Mall over the weekend during Eid events. It will also deploy taxis of the Dubai Taxi Corporation and Franchise Companies in coordination with the events’ organizers as needed. The number of daily taxi trips is expected to reach 295 thousand trips made by 7,700 taxicabs representing the total number of the taxi fleet operating in the Emirate of Dubai, added Al Dosari.
Through its agencies & sectors, the RTA is delivering exceptional services during Eids, as well as national & religious events, as it is keen on effectively contributing to the intensive efforts made by all government entities in Dubai to turn these events into a distinctive & memorable experience for visitors, citizens and residents of the Emirate.
