Sachin Tendulkar prefers to stay away from Bollywood and related events unless it is extremely important.
The cricketer who seems to have a lot of time on his hands after having retired from one day cricket, had earlier watched Balak palak – a Marathi film by Ritesh Deshmukh and now then he found time to attend the music release of Asha Bhosle debut film as an actress at age 80 – Mai.
“I am one of the million fans in the world that Asha Bhosle has. I am not really qualified to talk about her as we all know what is her impact on Indian music,” says Tendulkar.
But then the octogenarian considers the master blaster as her inspiration as well. “When I saw him playing well and continuing to do so,, I was inspired to follow him,” Bhosle lets out a googly. And then in lieu of the cricketer batting for her, she pitched in with a collection of her best songs from her older albums. “I am gifting him a collection of my old songs. I have some old pictures with him too,” she says.
Asha had earlier gifted a lot of old songs to Brett Lee when she sang with the Aussie cricketer in her album Asha and Friends.
