The second phase of maintenance of Sharjah Corniche has been postponed by the Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority (SRTA).
The maintenance work will now start on January 27 and end on February 3.
Traffic will be diverted to the opposite direction - one lane in the direction of Al Khalidiya bridge and two lanes on the way to Al Qasba Channel bridge, said the authority.
The SRTA had earlier announced that it will block the Corniche road for 10 days in the direction from Majaz-3 to the Khalid Lagoon from January 25 to February 3.
Meanwhile, during the third phase, part of the asphalt layer will be removed, renewed, painted and marked again during the third phase of the project, which also includes some amendments to the road.
