Sharjah POlice arrested six people who were allegedly planning to sell 18,931 Tramadol tablets.

A 'Khaleej Times' report says following a tip-off, the Anti-Narcotics Department questioned an Iranian who confessed to having a huge quantity of Tramadol pills in his house in Ajman.

In co-ordination with Ajman Police his place was raided and 3,900 pills were confiscated. Three of his accomplices, who helped him sell the drug, were also arrested.

In the second case, the police nabbed two suspects, who also had criminal backgrounds, with 15,000 Tramadol pills in their possession.

During interrogation, they confessed to selling the restricted drugs to young people.

Tramadol is an analgesic, which has undesirable effects while taken in certain concentrations and is a restricted drug to be sold only with a doctor’s prescription.
