Smuggler with a kilo of drug in stomach gets 7 years

A Brit ended up in jail after he reported sick outside the airport.

LTN, 40, requested policemen at the parking lot of the passenger arrival zone to take him to hospital as he was feeling uneasy.

Medical check up showed strange bodies in his digestive system - they were 57 capsules comprising about a kilo of methamphetamine.
 
The Dubai Criminal Court sentenced him to a seven-year jail term followed by deportation. He is also required to pay Dh50,000 fine.
