Spurned woman steals lover’s home appliances

If you cannot steal his heart, you might as well settle for his home appliances.

It’s exactly what a scorned woman did in Metro Manila’s Navotas City, days after her live-in partner left their rented home and went back to his parents’, saying it was over between the two of them.

The 34-year-old Betty Navarro couldn’t accept the fact that Malvin Mojica, 36, was indeed dumping her after a few years of living together at No 19 DP Gabriel Street in the city’s Barangay Sipac, Almacen district.

After a few days, Mojica, who told policemen at Navotas City that he left Navarro over her nagging attitude, sent some relatives over to his home in Sipac, to collect his belongings, including the home appliances he had bought before he met Navarro.

His estranged common-law wife, however, refused to surrender the appliances and instead threatened to kill his relatives should they force entry to their home.

This prompted Mojica to go settle things with Navarro by himself the following day, but he got the shock of his life when he arrived to an empty house—no Navarro, no home appliances.
