If you’ve been putting off that camping  weekend these past few months, then perhaps it’s time to make haste as the UAE heat is about to put a damper on any long-term outdoor plans.

Summer has officially arrived, with sizzling heat reaching highs of 41°C in Sweihan. And before this weekend is through, another spike in the Mercury has been forecasted by the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS).

However, wait just yet before you call off those Friday plans in the desert.

As per the NCMS, UAE residents will escape the intense heat due to a partly cloudy weather, with fresh northwesterly winds to ease up on the discomfort.

By evening, the country will experience a gradual fall in temperatures, which will start westwards and gradually extend to the rest of the country.

However, those taking to the high seas in the Arabian Gulf pay heed, as the NCMS is warning of rough waves by afternoon.

On Saturday, residents can expect fair weather will in general, with partial cloud cover over some areas.

However, be warned, another slight rise in temperatures is also on the cards.

Adding to the head will be the humidity level on the coastal and internal areas of the country, which is expected to cross 90 per cent.

Light to moderate winds will keep the air moving, while slight to moderate waves in the Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea will make it a perfect day out in the blue.
