Residents of UAE, it is time to brace yourselves for the Mercury to climb a few more notches this weekend, as the heat turns up across the country.

The UAE’s National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) has said the weather will continue to be hot to very hot over most areas of the country, with the internal areas expected to record highs of 47 degrees Celsius, with temperatures set to further rise.

The forecaster has described Friday as hazy in general, with “hot to very hot weather over most areas, with gradual increase in temperatures.”

The climes will be partly cloudy over the eastern and the southern areas, maybe with some convective clouds to cover the horizon.

The day will further experience moderate to fresh winds in general, causing some blowing dust over open areas that may reduce the horizontal visibility.

Meanwhile, sea-goers take note, the weather will be moderate to rough at times in the Arabian Gulf and rough in the Oman Sea.

The weather on Saturday will continue in sync, being hazy in general with yet another gradual increase in temperatures.

Respite will be visible over the eastern and the southern areas, with a chance of some convective clouds.

Moderate to fresh winds in general will result in some blowing dust and may reduce the horizontal visibility, especially over exposed areas.

The sea will continue to be moderate to rough at times in the Arabian Gulf and rough in the Oman Sea.
