Three await verdict in cable theft case

Three Pakistanis allegedly stole electricity cables worth Dh42,366 from the store of ARG Engineering Services, the Dubai Criminal Court heard.

Asef Ahmad, 46, assistant technician testified that he found the door of the store open and he realised that the store was subject to a theft because he was sure he had locked the door the previous day.

Lieutenant Hamad Obaid testified that after receiving the complaint police organised with the forces in Sharjah and Ajman and arrested  IZJ, 30, visitor, LZM, 25, jobless and ABM, 19, visitor, who confessed to committing the theft.

First lieutenant Ali Saeed testified that they accused have committed similar thefts in Sharjah.

The court adjourned the case for verdict until December 11.
