Tourist forgets hotel’s name: Dubai Police to the rescue

After a few hours of his arrival and check-in in a Dubai hotel, a Chinese tourist decided to stroll around the nearby tourist locations, but forgot his hotel’s name and location when he decided to return to his accommodation.

But thanks to Dubai Police’s extensive efforts, the tourist reached his hotel with the assistance of officers of the Al Muraqqabat Police Station.

Brigadier Ali Ahmad Abdullah Ghanim, Director of Al Muraqqabat Police Station, said the man had just reached the country when he decided to take a walk in the nearby areas of the hotel.

"After walking round for a while, the man could not remember his way back and it was difficult for our officers to help him as he could not recall any landmarks in the area.

“We called the travel agency responsible for the man's visa… we tracked the application of the man and were able to identify the hotel,” Brigadier Ghanim added.

The Chinese tourist expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to officers at Al Murqqabat Police Station for their prompt and professional response.
