Traffic flow eases on Sheikh Zayed Road after car fire causes jam

Traffic flow on Sheikh Zayed Road is back to normal after a vehicle caught fire and caused major traffic jam.

Dubai Police said a fire broke out in a vehicle on Sheikh Zayed Road from Almanara Bridge towards Abu Dhabi at 2pm.

Traffic flow was very flow for a few hours on Sheikh Zayed Road towards Abu Dhabi unitll the police came and removed the burnt away from the road.

There have no immediate report of any casualties but an eyewitness said the car was fully burnt.

Dubai Police also alerted that a truck had broken down at 4pm today on Dubai Bypass Road and advised motorists to take alternative routes. Further details are awaiting from the Dubai Police.

In Abu Dhabi, there have been reports of congestion and delays opposite to Dalma Mall toward the Trucks Bridge on Thursday evening at 4pm.
