School buses and cars and other vehicles are running bumper to bumper on Sheikh Zayed Road Traffic since 1 pm. Traffic has built-up from Interchange II towards Jebel Ali.
At the time of filing this report, the cause of the pile-up is not clear. Some suggest schools' re-opening to be one of the causes, as most students return home at his hour.
One motorist, caught in the traffic, says he is surprised as he never expected traffic at this time of the day. “You expect such snarls towards Jebel Ali only in the mornings on week days. I don’t see any accident in the vicinity.”
Yet another parent on his way to collect his son is worried about not reaching the school on time. His kindergartner would be anxious on not seeing when his classes finish. “Am sure it’s an accident way ahead that’s causing this,” he says.
However, there’s been no official confirmation as yet.
