Truck battery thieves held in Fujairah

Fujairah police arrested two Pakistani men who targeted trucks to steal their batteries while they are parked, according to police.

Police nabbed the two after receiving reports that five trucks had been targeted and had their batteries stolen while they were parked and unattended by their owners.

A statement said police seized the two after deploying cops in targeted places to watch parked trucks, adding that the two were caught dismantling a battery of a truck.

The two men confessed to stealing five trucks and selling the batteries to scrap shops in the emirate, it added.
