Two Asians killed in RAK vehicle collision

Two Asians were killed and four others injured in a traffic accident on Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road in Ras Al Khaimah.

According to a report in Arabic daily Al Khaleej, the accident happened because of failure to maintain enough distance between the vehicles.

Col Ali Saeed AL Alkeem, Director, Traffic Department and Patrols, Ras Al Khaimah Police, said the operations room received a tip-off on Saturday evening.

Ambulances and rescue team rushed to the site and found a vehicle carrying five passengers and another driven by a motorist involved in the collision.

Four people sustained medium to serious injuries while two were killed in the incident. The deceased are aged 37 and 46.
