An Egyptian and an Indian were sentenced to three months in jail each for molestation in two separate cases.

In the first case, an Egyptian clerk pretended to be an outdoor salesman of cleaning machines. On August 11 at around 1pm he knocked at the door of AMB, 31, Iranian housewife, while carrying brochures in his hand. He asked for her husband and when she told him he was not at home he asked her to let him in to explain about the cleaning machine.

When she allowed him in, he molested her. She ran to the bedroom and called her husband using her mobile, but the clerk followed her. She screamed and asked him to leave the house. Instead he went to the living room and asked her to give him her mobile number. When she ran towards the door, he got scared and left the house, the victim testified before the prosecution.

In the second case, a 24- year-old Indian salesman molested his Filipina co-worker in a cooperative society while she was cleaning the upper floor.

JJM, 22, cleaner, testified before the prosecution that on August 16 while she was cleaning the deserted upper floor MMN came there and molested her forcibly.

When she screamed, he ran away and she told her friend what had happened.

ZT, 23, testified before the prosecution that JJM came to her crying and told her what the salesman did to her. “We both went to the director’s office who notified the general manager about the incident and then the police,” ZT told the prosecution.

The two accused confessed to the accusations and the court sentenced them to deportation after they have served their jail terms.
