Two teenagers win Dh180,000 luxury cars in UAE

Two teenagers have won luxury BMW cars each which costs approximately Dh180,000 in the UAE.

The winners are 15-year-old Tarek from Egypt and 16-year-old Emirati Tahnoon Saeed.

The teenagers won the cars in a draw held by fashion retailer Splash in Dubai. The winners were announced by a representative from Dubai’s Department of Economic Development along with other officials.

Hailing from Egypt, 15 year old Tarek was taken by surprise when he received a call, saying he had just won himself a BMW 520i. Tarek responded saying: "I am so excited and have already decided what I want to do. Since, I do not have a license yet; I will be selling the car and using the money to fund my higher education, as my interest lies in Engineering."

The Emirati teenager Saeed was absolutely delighted on hearing the news.

"I was travelling to London for my vacation and decided to shop at Splash. I walked out of the store spending Dh5,000 and entered the draw hoping I would win. Winning the much talked about BMW is the best news I have ever received. Since I am only 16, I will be giving the car to my mother till I become old enough to drive it."
