Two to be deported for dressing in women's clothes in Al Ain

Two Asian men caught drunk and wearing women’s clothes in a public place in the eastern oasis town of Al Ain were sentenced to two months in prison and ordered deported, newspapers reported on Sunday.

A Court of First Instance had earlier sentenced the two to one month in jail for dressing in women’s clothes and another month for drinking alcohol.

It also ordered their deportation from the UAE after serving of the jail terms.

A Court of Appeals issued the same sentence, prompting the two to appeal with the Court of Cassation, which upheld that verdict.

Newspapers said the two were arrested by police in a public place after they were caught wearing female clothes and having alcohol.
