A court in Ajman sentenced two Moroccan women for five years in jail each and ordered their deportation from the UAE after they were convicted of indulging in human trade, a newspaper reported on Saturday.

One of the defendants immediately became hysterical and started screaming when she heard the sentence and tried to rip her clothes unless the judge promises to reduce the verdict, prompting him to turn hearings into a closed door session, 'Emarat Al Youm' said.

The court convicted the two after they were caught red handed by a man who was asked to pay Dh80,000 to the defendants in return for two other woman, one of whom was a 22-year-old Moroccan.

“The main culprit told the man to meet her at a specific place and time to receive the two woman in return for Dh80,000,” the paper said.
