The first day of Eid Al Fitr in UAE is on Tuesday, the UAE Ministry of Justice announced on Monday.
The UAE moon sighting committee sighted the Shawwal moon.
The committee, which met Monday evening under chairmanship of Dr Hadef Joan Al Dhahiri, Minister of Justice, said upon verification and sighting of crescent in coordination with the neighbouring sisterly countries, it has been decided that Monday is the last Ramadan month day, and Tuesday will be the first Eid day.
Eid celebrations in the UAE promise great entertainment this year. Dubai will see a barrage of Bollywood and Hollywood stars performing during this extended weekend, reports 'Gulf News'. Performances and festivals over the coming days include Arabic pop, hip-hop, dance, rock and Filipino pop.
