UAE celebrates Eid Al Fitr

The first day of Eid Al Fitr in UAE is on Tuesday, the UAE Ministry of Justice announced on Monday.
 
The UAE moon sighting committee sighted the Shawwal moon.

The committee, which met Monday evening under chairmanship of Dr Hadef Joan Al Dhahiri, Minister of Justice, said upon verification and sighting of crescent in coordination with the neighbouring sisterly countries, it has been decided that Monday is the last Ramadan month day, and Tuesday will be the first Eid day. 

Celebrations

Eid celebrations in the UAE promise great entertainment this year. Dubai will see a barrage of Bollywood and Hollywood stars performing during this extended weekend, reports 'Gulf News'. Performances and festivals over the coming days include Arabic pop, hip-hop, dance, rock and Filipino pop.

If Priyanka Chopra, Shahid Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Hariharan Shankar Mahadevan and many more are going to dazzle the city, then  magician Max Stevenson will fulfill your dream at Dubai Creek Park.

In Dubai Mall cultural activities will include live band performances, henna painting, Arabic tents serving coffee and dates, falconry, etc. Oasis Centre is hosting its annual Oasis Store Hunt while Cartoon Network Arabic will be hosting activities and events in Mirdiff City Centre.
