The Emirates Red Crescent, ERC, has, for the third time in a row, earned a Guinness World Record after it broke the world record for collecting the largest number of clothing items, totalling 295,113 pieces.
Mohammed Abdullah Al Haj Al Zarouni, Director of the ERC office in Dubai, said, "The collection process was implemented as part of a Ramadan humanitarian campaign carried out by the Dubai branch from early June to the 6th of July."
Al Zarouni explained that the ERC aims to strengthen its role in humanitarian areas and promote the culture of philanthropy.
