The national weather bureau has forecast morning rains with partly cloudy skies in general.

Motorists are advised to drive safe as horizontal visibility will be reduced in most parts of the Emirates on Thursday.

Earlier on Wednesday the region witnessed moderate to heavy rains. Umazimul near the Saudi border received 9mm of rainfall as unsteady weather in the country continues to prevail and is growing strong.

According to the National Centre for Meteorology and Siesmology (NCMS) the reason for the instability is the decrease in cold air mass at the upper air. “The cloud has already started to accumulate over the south-western region. Expect rain over the Northern and Eastern regions - anywhere between Sharjah and Hatta,” said an NCMS forecaster.

According to him several places including Abu Dhabi received some bits of rain on Tuesday. That also includes Mukharz, which has so far recorded 7.6mm of rainfall.
Western region also received slight to moderate rainfall with Al Ruwais recording 0.2mm so far.

According to NCMS, the country has been witnessing unstable weather for over a week. “There has been a lot of fluctuations over the week and the instability increased today and is going to increase further tomorrow,” he said.

The condition will continue to prevail until Thursday.

“The condition will get back to normalcy by Friday and the temperatures will start getting warmer,” he added. The coastal areas witnessed a maximum of 28-35 degrees on Tuesday, while the minimum temperature stood between 20-25 degrees Celsius.
