UAE gives civil defence vehicles to Aden

The UAE has delivered to the authorities in the Yemeni province of Aden several police and civil defence vehicles, as part of an initiative to enhance security and stability in the province.

The UAE representatives handed over to Major-General Shallal Ali Shaya, Director of Aden Police, six traffic motorcycles and two fully-equipped firefighting trucks.

Major General Shaya said the UAE's continuous support had contributed significantly in maintaining security and stability in the liberated areas of Yemen.

Sultan Mujahid Salem, Deputy Director of Aden Civil Defence Department, thanked the UAE for its support which enabled the department to resume its duties during crises.

Since the liberation of Aden, the UAE has provided police vehicles, firefighting trucks and special firefighting equipment to the police stations and civil defence centres in different areas of Aden. The UAE has also organised advanced police and firefighting training courses for police and civil defence personnel in Aden.
