He added that human nature, to defend one’s self and existence, is the principle of UAE’s participation within the Arab coalition led by Saudi Arabia in Yemen.

He said that Commemoration Day (Martyr's Day) is an important occasion to express feelings of pride for the sacrifices of our soldiers - recalling the heroes who gave their lives for the nation.

He stressed that the UAE economy is at its best and far better off than others. “Their economy is in crises and faces big pitfalls. Fortunately we're not part of those crises,” he said.

His Highness also spoke about Innovation Week, where he expressed his gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

Sheikh Hamad pointed that this is a beginning of a beautiful new horizon.

He confirmed that UAE is giving a priority to education. “We in the UAE are always looking to better education and we can have the best system of education because we have many universities that operate according to the highest standards of education,” he said.

Sheikh Hamad spoke of the importance for all universities to maintain the local traditions and customs and preserve the values of UAE society, relying on the strength of the Arabic language and culture.
