For the UAE residents and visitors hoping that the month of October will herald pleasant weather – here’s some news.

Temperatures in the country are set to hit a sweltering 43°C today, and according to the weatherman, expect no respite in the coming days.

According to today’s weather forecast by the National Center of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS), the UAE’s official weather provider, mercury will hit a high of 43°C in the country’s internal areas while coastal areas will see temperatures soaring up to 39°C.

The UAE’s mountainous regions, however, will witness much better temperatures, with mercury not going up beyond the 31°C mark.

However, evenings are indeed getting pleasant in the country, with the weatherman reckoning that residents of the UAE’s mountainous regions could enjoy the mercury dipping to a low of 20°C tonight, while internal areas could see temperatures drop to a pleasing 23°C and coastal areas set to see a mild low of 25°C.

The NCMS weather forecast for today reads: “Hot weather in general during daytime, especially the interior areas, mild during night. Some clouds may appear over some mountains and southwestern areas by afternoon.”

Winds will remain light to moderate, the forecast adds. “Light to moderate winds in general, freshening at times. The relative humidity will increase over coastal and interior areas during night and early morning with chance of mist over some western areas. Sea will be slight to moderate in general,” it says.

The next two days are set to see similar conditions, the NCMS is forecasting.
