As we approach the month of June, seasonal changes, coupled with northwesterly winds, will blow in hazy climes, with chances of morning mist or fog, along with rough seas in general.

The northwesterly winds that have been blowing across the UAE these past 48 hours, will weaken, according to a forecast by the UAE’s National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) and also make way for some clouds that will appear by afternoon to the east.

The NCMS further states: “The sea will be rough, becoming moderate by Friday afternoon in the Arabian Gulf and light to moderate in the Oman Sea.”

The relative humidity will increase during the night and early morning over some coastal and internal areas, reaching highs of 95 per cent, with a probability of fog and mist formation.

The weather on Saturday will continue to be fair and hazy in general, with partial cloud formation at times over some areas, especially towards east by afternoon.

The NCMS adds: “Wind speed will gradually decrease, becoming fresh to moderate during daytime and light by night.

“The sea will be rough, becoming moderate by afternoon in the Arabian Gulf and slight to moderate in the Oman Sea.”

The relative humidity will continue to cause discomfort, increasing during the night and early morning over the coastal and internal areas, with a chance of fog and mist formation on Sunday morning.
