UAE weather forecast: Fog lifts to 37deg C heat

Even as the ffoggy conditions - that have saw parts of the UAE enveloped in mist during the weekends - lifted, the National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology has forecast temperatures in some areas already beginning to head towards 40 deg C.

The maximum temperature in some internal areas will rise as high as 37 deg C today according to the NCMS, suggesting the summer heat may already be upon us.

The rise in day temperatures will also see relative humidity likely to increase. Winds are frecast to be light to moderate in general, freshening at times, causing blowing dust/sand over open areas. The sea will be moderate to general.

Temperatures closer to the sea are forecast to be a maximum of 32 deg C, with a minimum of 11 deg C in some areas.

Motorists were caught unawares by dense fog early on Saturday morning and according to the NCMS, the same is possible on Sunday morning.

On Friday morning as well, some people living in Jumeirah Beach Residence area noticed some weird kind of fog or cloud passing by their balcony.

And soon enough, most of the area around JBR, Marina and Media City was enveloped in fog, which continued rolling in from the sea.
