Showers of the season that lashed several parts of the UAE through Sunday night and Monday in Dubai, Sharjah and Al Ain, saw residents, weather bureau officials and police alike taking on to Twitter. Below are some of the tweets and images of the rainy day.

NCMS in its tweet updates noted, that it has been “Raining over Al Ain, Ras al Khaimah, Sharjah, Dubai, over Zakum and Arzanah islands.”
In another tweet it said, wind speed would hit about 60 kmph. Last evening’s record showed that Dalma had recorded about 8.8mm of rainfall followed by 2.2 in Sir Bani Yas.

The residents were also active on the twitter world, warning fellow motorists and updating them on the traffic scenario.

Temperatures
Temperatures are set to dip further touching a minimum of 7degree centigrade in mountainous areas, with a maximum of just 27 degrees in some internal parts, with fresh winds especially over the sea.
