UAE weather: More rain, mercury dips to 10°C

Parts of the UAE will receive more rains today (Tuesday) with temperatures dipping to a minimum of 10 degree Centigrade in some areas.

According to the national weather bureau (NCMS) report, the skies will remain cloudy with scattered rainfall.

Temperatures will drop significantly in the western region.

Fresh winds will blow up dust possibly reducing visibility.

Motorists are advised to drive cautiously. Dubai Police also warned to drive safely during the rain. It said tyres of vehicles do not grip the road well when drivers apply brakes suddenly.

However, humidity is expected to rise o 99 per cent in some internal areas, while the maximum temperatures will be just 31 degree centigrade.

Meanwhile, an Emirates 24l7 reader reported heavy rains lashing Oud Metha area in Bur Dubai on Monday afternoon, slowing down the traffic.

It was also drizzling on Sheikh Zayed Road and New Dubai areas in the afternoon.

“It's raining come and enjoy the breathtaking views at The Dubai Mall’s promenade. The weather is simply spectacular at The Dubai Mall,” the mall tweeted in the afternoon.

Light rain was also reported in Madinat Zayed area in Abu Dhabi and the suburbs on Monday morning. The sky remained cloudy with high prospects of more rains in the coming hours.

In Abu Dhabi, light to medium rain fell in the afternoon while the sky remained overcast through the day, prompting many drivers to turn their car lights on.
