The weather, while set to get decidedly cooler is also set to ruin outdoor activities for residents of the UAE with fog in the morning, rain, dust storms and rough seas forecast over the next two days.

The National Centre for Meterology and Seismology 's(NCMS) general weather forecast put rain back on the agenda, with partly cloudy weather in general.

However, more alarming was the part of the forecast which read: Moderate to fresh winds in general, strong at times over the sea, and causing blowing dust/sand over the exposed areas, with dust-in-suspension may also affect.

The sea is expected to be rough to very rough in the Arabian Gulf, and moderate to rough at times in Oman sea.

The good news is that day temperatures will continue to show a significant fall, especially over the western areas.

While the minimum temperature is forecast to be close to 10 deg C, the maximum will start at 28 deg C.

The NCMS has urged motorists to be more cautious on the roads while driving due to low horizontal visibility owing to fog on most areas of the state.

In a statement the centre has urged people to abide by the traffic rules and keep a safe distance between vehicles to avoid traffic collisions.
