The weathermen predict slight chances of rain in Dubai today .

According to the National Center for Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS), “there is a slight chance of rain over western and coastal regions and over the islands."

The cloudy weather condition could continue over the next two days.

“The strong North Westerly wind could cause sand/dust to rise, lowering visibility in some areas,” NCMS spokesperson told Emirates24|7.

Sea will be “rough in the Arabian Gulf and moderate to rough in Oman Sea”, and residents are advised to exert caution when heading out to the beach.

Temperatures have dropped, with the minimum of 8 degree celsius recorded in the mountain regions.

The UAE recorded a maximum temperature of 28 degree celsius.

“The relative humidity will increase during night and early morning over some internal areas, and mist may form,” the NCMS website reported.

UAE seas to be rough for couple of days

The UAE’s National Center of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) has warned the public against venturing out into the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman in the next couple of days, Emarat Al Youm has reported.

The Gulf seas will be very rough and entering the Sea of Oman could be risky.

NMCS said that the weather today (Sunday) will be partly cloudy in some areas, and become increasingly cloudy overnight and on Monday morning.

Sporadic rainfall in the western regions, islands and the coast of the UAE is likely and winds will be brisk, disturbing dust on some interior areas. Relative humidity will increase during the night and early morning in the interior and fog might form in some areas.

The centre also predicted that the weather will be partly cloudy on Monday in some areas and rain is likely in the western areas and islands during the day.

The centre also noted that the wind will be brisk to strong especially in the sea and as the wind will disturb dust in some parts of the interior.

NCMS said temperatures will be decline by three to six degrees Celsius during December compared to November.

NMCS said the average of the temperature will range between 17.7 and 21 degrees Celsium next month while the average maximum temperature will range from  21.8 and 26.5 degrees. The average minimum temperature will be between 12.8 and 16.0 degrees.

The Meteorological Centre predicted rain and thunder showers in December, caused by winds from the Mediterranean Sea.

UAE will see fog forming in coastal areas and the interior in the coming weeks. The interior will be particularly foggy in February.

NCMS said that winter will begin in December and end in the third week of March.

Meanwhile, the highest temperature recorded in November was 35.5  degrees in the border areas in 2010, while the lowest temperature recorded was 0.7 degrees below zero on the mountain of Jeese in 2004.

The highest amount of rain in November was 325.2 mm in 1995 at Fujairah Airport.
