Looks like it’s finally time to skip the cottons, and pull out the heavy woollens. The National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology  (NCMS) predicts winter in the UAE will officially begin on December 22.

For the weekend, the NCMS forecasts chances of fog/mist in the early mornings, and cautions motorist to be safe on the roads.

“The relative humidity will increase during night and early morning over some coastal and internal areas, with a chance of mist/fog over scattered areas, especially to the west,” reads the NCMS forecast on their official website.

Although the UAE will witness cloudy days ahead, there is, however, no chance of rain.

Beachgoers can plan their day out, with the sea in the Arabian gulf and in Oman Sea remaining moderate on Friday and Saturday.

“The sea will be rough early Friday, but will be moderate after 10am,” informed an NCMS official.

Temperature will hit a maximum of 24-26 degree Celsius, and minimum of 9-16 degree Celsius.
