Van turns turtle on Dubai road

The driver and two passengers of a van had a miraculous escape after the vehicle turned turtle on the road going towards Deira in front of the Al Lateefa Hospital (earlier known as Al Wasl Hospital).

The Innova swerved and overturned after hitting a pick-up, causing a huge traffic jam.

The Dubai Police and emergency services team had to work for an hour-and-a-half to save the driver and passengers.

Speaking to Emirates 24|7, an eye witness said: “We saw the van overturned and lying on the road.
“The driver was trapped and three of us jumped over the vehicle and pulled him out. He sustained injuries and was rushed to Al Lateefa Hospital.”

Two passengers who sustained injuries in the accident were also taken to the Al Lateefa Hospital.
