Mattar Al Tayer, Director-General and Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), revealed that since His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, launched the Mohammed bin Rashid Smart Majlis initiative, and up to noon October 25, the RTA received about 500 creative ideas and improvement comments (425 creative ideas and 75 improvement comments).

Over the past two days, the RTA studied 102 ideas and 10 comments, and two comments relating to traffic safety were addressed.

In this context, Al Tayer issued an Administrative Circular obliging all RTA organisational units to react to the creative ideas and improvement remarks received via the Mohammed bin Rashid Smart Majlis, and sign them off within three working days from the day of receipt. Follow-up and reply has to be furnished within four working days from the receipt of same.

The Circular has also mapped out the procedure of raising up matters to the Director-General and Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of the RTA.

The Circular is issued in support of the Mohammed bin Rashid Smart Majlis initiative and the aspirations of the Dubai Government to bring happiness to people.

It also supports the strategic goals of the RTA in a way that enhances the pioneering role of Dubai and shaping its future.

“The RTA will follow-up on all ideas and remarks received through the Smart Majlis, and task a work team to study all creative ideas and improvement comments which will improve the quality of services offered to RTA clients.

Dewa honours first person to submit dea to improve services

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (Dewa) has honoured the best idea submitted through the Mohammed bin Rashid Smart Majlis.

Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of DEWA has honoured Khaled Khattab, from the Kingdom of Bahrain, who sent the Smart Portfolio idea.

This is an online account in the building’s name where a minimum amount of Dh250 is deposited. The monthly bill is directly debited from the account by Dewa.

The landlord can top-up the account through various channels that are easily accessible, including kiosks across different areas and shopping malls.

“The Mohammed bin Rashid Smart Majlis initiative supports the vision of His Highness to promote communications with citizens, residents, and visitors through a smart platform that gives everybody the chance to provide positive ideas and remarks to improve government services to the highest standards,” said Al Tayer.

Al Tayer is personally following up on the idea. He gave his instructions to start implementing it at once and honour the person who sent it. Khattab was invited to come to Dubai from Bahrain where he was honoured.
