Wall collapse in Sharjah injures 7

Seven Indians have been injured in a construction site accident in Al Nadha area in Sharjah.

Sharjah Police dispatched patrols and ambulances to the site after the operations room received a call informing them of the accident on Sunday morning around 8.30am.

A concrete wall collapsed on them at the construction site.

The injured have been admitted to Al Qassimi Hospital and Kuwaiti Hospital after being administered first aid. Two of them who suffered severe injuries are in hospital, while the others were discharged after treatment.

Police is investigating the cause for the accident.

Police called on owners of companies and engineers at construction sites to ensure safety procedures are in place to avoid such accidents.
