The Financial Times rankings of executive education programmes for 2016 is out and two prominent business schools with a UAE campus feature on the list.

London Business School (LBS) and Insead, both with a UAE presence, feature in the top 10 rankings, taking the No. 6 and the No. 7 spot, respectively.

The Dubai campus of LBS, located in the Dubai International Financial Centre, opened in 2007 to offer both executive MBA and executive education programmes.

The executive MBA programme begins with an orientation week in London. After this, students take 10 core modules, taught in a four or five-day block each month in Dubai.

Students then undertake electives, which are primarily offered in London, and an international assignment. Two additional core modules take place in London.

Insead, too, started in 2007 by opening a centre in Abu Dhabi, primarily for research and executive education. It also launched a dual degree executive MBA with Tsinghua University in China.

In 2010, the centre attained a campus status (Middle East Campus), making it the fourth campus for the school, globally.

The FT ranks Spain’s Iese Business School on top of the list. Swiss school IMD is on the second place this year followed by HEC Paris.
