The UAE sacrificed its sons, who have fallen as martyrs in Yemen, to defend right and support the Yemeni people against injustice, said His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai.

In his reaction to the martyrdom of 45 UAE soldiers in war-battered Yemen on his Twitter page, Sheikh Mohammed said the Emirates would stick to its historic position in the Saudi-led coalition until victory.

“The UAE will stick to its historic position in the Saudi-led coalition until victory and the UAE people will remain rallying around their leadership,” he said.

“Today, the UAE sacrificed its sons and men to defend right and support the brothers in Yemen against injustice.

“We extend our condolences to the UAE people and the Arab nation on the martyrdom of these heroes. May God the Almighty bless their souls in heavens and give patience to their families. These events will only make us more determined to support right and we will always be proud of the sacrifices made by our sons. These sacrifices will certainly make us more resolved, stronger and more determined to achieve victory.

“The UAE people today demonstrated a strong stance by rallying around their leadership as the UAE will always stick to its historic position in the Saudi-led coalition until we achieve victory.”
