The National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS), has urged motorists to be more cautious, drive slowly and leave enough distance between vehicles due to fog and winds aggravating dust and sand.

In a statement today the NCMS said that the tomorrow's weather will be humid with potential of the formation of some light fog.
There will be fresh and light northwesterly winds in the west accompanied with dust during the day with a drop in temperatures and the appearance of some cumulus clouds in the east and over the mountains in the afternoon.

The sea will be rough over the Arabian Gulf and from slight to moderate in the Gulf of Oman.

Rainfall likely?

As the Mercury hovers just shy of 50 degrees Celsius, some respite may come with rainfall over the eastern and southern parts of the UAE.

If you happen to be in Fujairah and Al Ain, chances are, the wet weather may blow your way.

As for the rest of the UAE, the National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) has forecasted hot and humid weather on Friday, with light to moderate winds that could be freshening at times and result in dust and sand blowing over exposed areas.

The country will be ‘hot in general’ says the UAE forecaster, reaching highs of 49 degrees Celsius in the internal areas and 45 degrees along the coast, with the eastern and southern areas witnessing ‘some towering clouds and chance for some rainfall during [the] afternoon’.

The NCMS adds: “The relative humidity is likely to increase during night and Saturday early morning over some coastal areas with a chance of mist or fog formation over western areas.”

Those who are planning to head out to sea will find the Arabian Gulf moderate, along with the Oman Sea.

The weather will continue in the same form on Saturday, remaining hot in general and partly cloudy at times over some eastern and southern areas, with some towering clouds by afternoon.

Light to moderate winds, freshening at times, causing some dust and sand to blow over exposed areas, while the relative humidity is likely to increase during night to reach highs of 95 per cent across the coastal areas and 90 per cent in the internal areas.

Sunday morning will bring some fog formation over western areas.

The sea could get rough at times in the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea.
