As skies turn overcast in parts of UAE on Wednesday morning, rainfall is predicted over the next three days, with temperatures reaching highs of mid-forties in internal areas.

The UAE’s National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) has forecasted rainfall across parts of the country, with wet weather to continue until Friday, resulting in a possible dip in mercury level from the current 44°C high predicted, with 99 per cent humidity levels.

The rain is forecast for Wednesday evening, with the NCMS stating: ‘The cloud amount will increase by evening and night over some western and southern areas, with some light rain at times’.

Thursday and Friday is expected to be hazy and partly cloudy ‘especially eastwards and southwards, with a chance of some rainfall at times’, stated NCMS.

Another fall in day temperatures is expected over most areas.

The weather forecaster has also predicted moderate to fresh winds in general, especially over the sea, but it would give rise to blowing dust with poor horizontal visibility at times.

The NCMS has also issued a marine warning for Thursday and Friday, with the waters of the Arabian Gulf, especially northwards, along with the Strait of Hormuz and the Oman Sea being rough at intervals.

Meanwhile, reports from neighbouring Qatar are also indicate light rainfall on Wednesday morning.
