Winter in UAE will begin on December 23

The temperatures will decrease in December by at least 6 degrees Celsius as compared to November, the National Center of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS).

A report in Emarat Al Youm quoted the NCMS as saying winter will begin specifically on December 23.

The NCMS said that fog will form in many areas. Instable weather will continue with low clouds and medium rain accompanied by thunderstorms still on the forecast.

Today, the weather will be partly cloudy with the opportunity for some rain.
     
Rain still on forecast

Skies will remain cloudy in general over the UAE on Sunday, with the cover increasing over Northern and Eastern areas accompanied with some rain, according to an NCMS report.

Relative humidity will increase during night and early morning over some inland areas, giving rise to fog.

Sea will continue to remain rough, with fresh moderate winds blowing over land.

While minimum temperature will hover between 10 and 15 degrees Celsius in mountainous areas, the maximum temperatures in internal areas will be 30 degrees Celsius.

Saturday will see partly cloudy skies, especially over the northern and eastern areas in the UAE.
 
According to a NCMS report, fresh and strong winds over the sea may cause dust to blow with relative humidity increasing during night and early morning and chances of fog formation.
 
Seas will be rough and beach-goers are advised to exercise caution.
 
Meanwhile, minimum temperatures in mountainous areas are expected to dip to between 10 and 15 degrees Celsius, while internal areas is likely to experience lows of between 13 and 18 degrees Celsius.
 
Humidity, however, in internal areas may go up to a high of 95 per cent.
