Dubai Traffic Police was faced with a tough situation on December 15, when they found two cars racing at more than 180kph on the university campus road near Al Warqa’a roundabout and could not stop them. At last when the vehicles stopped at the Mirdiff City Centre Intersection, they were asked to pull over at the neary petrol station.

However, to their surprise, the cops found one of the drivers was a young woman who threatened and challenged them to take action against her, reported 'Al Khaleej'. "What is the use of me owning a sports car if I have to adhere to speed limits," she asked the traffic police. The man in the other car was speeding at over 160kph.

When the police officials confronted her with proof that she had violated speed limits, she retorted that radars on the roads did not capture her number plate and hence she has not violated rules.

When they made arrangements to impound the car, she insulted the cops and challenged them them to take her car. She then got into the car and drove it ahead hitting the policeman who was trying to talk to her. It took the cops at least two hours to convince her to go to the police station.

Major General Mohammed Saif Al Zaffin, Director-General, Department of Dubai Traffic Police, said the girl was being irresponsible and should be penalised. He added that her vehicle should be impounded and legal action taken against her.
