An Emirati mother decided to donate her kidney to her sick brother, who was suffering for years from kidney failure.

She went to China to undergo the transplant surgery.

When saying goodbye to her sons in the UAE before boarding the plane, she was unaware that she would not see her dearest and youngest son again.

Speaking to Emirates 24|7, a family relative of the victim said that the mother of the three sons was divorced many years ago, and did not get married again, deciding to spend the rest of her life raising her children.

“A couple of days ago, her 22-year-old son Ali went to visit his friend who live in the same neighborhood.
“That night and after having dinner, Ali asked one of his friends to drop him home in his car, but the friend apologised as he had important work to do.
“At that moment, Ali decided to return home on a bike which he took from his friend,” he said.

The moment Ali left the house and tried to go on the road, a four-wheel driver did not notice him and collided with the motorbike.

Ali’s friends called the ambulance, but by the time the ambulance arrived, Ali passed away.

It was very difficult for Ali’s brothers to pass news of his death to their mother, so they told her that he had an accident and was at hospital.

The mother’s instinct was strong and she told her sons: “I know he is dead. I know I lost him. Don’t lie to me.”
