Now play Spotify on Twitter

Twitter has teamed up with Spotify to bring more music to its service: Spotify's catalog of 30-some million tracks is now available through Twitter audio cards, which show up both in Twitter's regular timeline as well as within its curated Moments section.

However, don't expect to listen to full albums on Twitter any time soon: Spotify audio cards only serve up 30-second previews to songs, complete with a link to listen to the rest directly via Spotify's own apps. Spotify demonstrated how the integration works with a summer playlist on Moments.

Twitter first introduced audio cards back in October of 2014 with an integration of SoundCloud and iTunes. The move to add music clips directly to the Twitter timeline came after the company failed to gain traction with a dedicated social music app dubbed #Music.
