Emirati child killed in Al Ain road crash

A three-year-old Emirati girl was killed while her mother suffered from serious injuries when their car was involved in an accident with a truck in the eastern oasis town of Al Ain, police reported.

The accident occurred in the Bu Saleem Bridge area on Sunday noon and was likely caused when the woman’s car overtook the truck and moved from the right to the middle lane, police said.

“Investigations are still under way to determine the exact cause of the accident,” Alittihad daily said, quoting Major Mohsen Al Mansoori, Al Ain traffic police chief.
