Authorities say they've arrested a German man trying to smuggle 239 grams (8.4 ounces) of cocaine onto Indonesia's resort island of Bali, some of it hidden in his stomach.
Bali customs official Djarot Utomo says 48-year-old Hans Peter Naumann was arrested Friday after he arrived on a flight from Bangkok.
Utomo said Saturday that customs officers had Naumann X-rayed after suspecting something was hidden in his stomach.
He said 11 white capsules filled with cocaine were found in Naumann's underwear, and six others inside his stomach, all worth $65,000.
Indonesia has extremely strict drug laws, and traffickers are regularly sentenced to death.
