An old Saudi man suffering from repeated fires at his house said he was finally convinced that they are set by jinn (ghosts).
When he decided to move to another house to save his family, the blazes did not stop. On the contrary, his car was another victim.
Aouda Al Huwaiti said he could not find any other explanation for the fires, which had destroyed most of the family’s clothes and furniture.
He told Alsaudi daily that when he and his family decided to read verses from the holy Koran to expel the jinns, they were hit by glass pieces and stones thrown at them from the roof of his home and other houses.
“I decided to leave to another house but the fires did not stop…I have now moved to live in tent on the road…I have been there for nearly one month and will stay until I receive help from shaikhs (Muslem scholars) to dismantle this magic spell and expel these devils from my home,” he said.
The paper carried a six-minute film showing the bearded man in his charred house in the northwestern town of Tabuk.
